I want to ask a question, and I hope it will not cause offence.
This book, with its particular take on marriage, is located in the UK. I imagine it must be of immense interest there, if only to the fringe immigrant population. Has it been reviewed by a single periodical, magazine, journal, newspaper, in the UK? Why not?
Possibly, the internet replaces local publicity. But I think something is fundamentally wrong when a novel about Indians or new British is receiving attention in India but not in the UK.
Monica Ali's Brick Lane was a UK and international success. Why not Notes on a marriage, bearing in mind that it could not even attract a UK publisher.
The UK depresses me and now even more!
