Thinking more about this move, I do wonder about the thinking.  I watched Gasseau a fair amount at BC over the last few years, and I think there's potential there—big body, gets in front of the net, decent nose for goal.  We've certainly signed a lot of less promising draft picks over the years so it seems odd that the organization would in THIS case say, "nah, not worth a contract."  Whereas if he simply didn't want to sign for us, that's a real head scratcher too, considering our quite shallow pool of top-end prospects—at any position, really, but particularly on the wing.  Other than Will Zellers, do we have any exciting winger in the pipeline?  It sadly feels like the Lysell ship has sailed at this point.
