Simulation stuck at first event

Experts,

I am using a local halld_recon/sim and hdgeant4 in sync w/ the master branch. For whatever event generator, I am using, the simulation is stuck a the first event.

G4WT0 > Info: RF reference plane set to 65 cm.
G4WT0 > New event 1 with starting seeds 1800229218, 1692052461

Today, I updated my version.xml to version_4.23.1.xml, and changed the path for recon, sim, hdgeant4, and gluex_root_analysis to my local installations. I did a git pull and recompile everything and I am still getting the same problem that hgeant4 is stuck at the first event.
