Globalgiving.org API integration with Zapier.

Has anyone requested or considered developing an API integration with Zapier.com This would allow non developers (like myself) to connect Globalgiving.org to services like Salesforce or google docs. https://zapier.com/help/what-is-zapier/

No one has requested (or offered to develop) integration with Zapier.  My brief review of Zapier sounds like you would want some sort of "trigger" event within the GlobalGiving api to "update" or trigger some other API - its like a middleware between API's.  I could be completely off on this, since I did not read very deeply.

Since I am the Director of Engineering at GlobalGIving, if you want to take conversation offline, where you could detail your usecase on how you would use the GG API with a service like Zapier, I would be happy to listen and determine if it would be something to add to our product roadmap.

Hi Steve,

I know my resply is a little late (like 4 years) but I just noticed you responded. What I'm wanting is to connect zapier to Global Giving and be able to transfer donations to Salesforce. Salesorce can already connect to Zapier but to the best of my knowledge, Globalgiving can't. Is there any way to enable this - this would save hours of work manually entering GG donations.

Hi there!

I am surprised that this has not been requested more since 2018. Our organization would love to see a Zapier integration.
The main trigger we would be looking for is "When a donation is made to our org."... send details to Zapier so we can send it to our Donor Management Software (LittleGreen Light for the time being, but also might be GiveButter soon.)

I looked through the existing API documentation, which appears to be primarily focused on how other websites/databases can display GlobalGiving organs and campaigns.

Thanks for expressing your interest in this integration! I am happy to pass this feedback along to our team for roadmap consideration.

In transparency, I will share that our bandwidth for API development is currently limited and you're correct that our focus has typically been on getting the rich content from our community of nonprofit partners out onto other platforms and then processing donations from those platforms in order to get those nonprofits more funding.

Thank you for checking in! We have not built a Zapier integration since you last reached out.

For what it's worth, we have not received this request from other nonprofit partners directly or via our annual survey so it will likely not be added to the roadmap any time soon.
