Dear GDJC Community,
We wish you all well. We are delighted to welcome Dr. Gabriela Carrillo Balam to give our May GDJC Talk. Gabriela has a Ph.D. in Global Health from The University of Edinburgh, Scotland (2020). She will present her research on sex differences in diabetes and comorbid depression among the Mexican population.
This session will take place on Mon, 30th May 2022 at 14-15h UK time (flyer attached). Please register here to get the calendar reminder and Zoom link: https://nih.zoomgov.com/meeting/register/vJIsdOygrj0uHe2p4Acu4thMPpcnjlPDr30
GDJC Talks themselves are 30-45 min long, followed by 15-30 min of discussion with the speaker, moderated by our co-organizers. If time permits before the end of the hour, we can share resources and events of
interest in diabetes epidemiology.
Please share this announcement with anyone you think would be interested in joining -- all are welcome to attend. We will record this session and post it, with captions, to our GDJC website and YouTube channel, where you can also check out our first jointly delivered session by Cassie Mitchell and Emma Stinson from NIH/NIDDK Phoenix Epidemiology and Clinical Research Branch on metabolic responses to a mixed meal tolerance test in individuals at risk for developing type 2 diabetes.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
Best wishes,
