Race Car invitation for GPF

Hello Autocrossers,
The Watkins Glen Grand Prix Festival is coming up on Friday September 5th. One of the highlights of the day is when the race cars do their WGI Tribute Laps of the Old Course. The SVRA is back this year and will be providing a number of SVRA race cars for that part of the event. But we need more race cars for it to be the spectacle it should be. After all, we are celebrating the birth of Road Racing in the US, right here in Watkins Glen, where it all started in 1948.
If your autocross car has numbers and is loud, then we need you and your car to sign up to take part in the WGI Tribute Laps of the Old Course. Trailer parking will be provided at Lot # 3 at WGI along with a police escort from the track to the village.
I have attached the Race Car Invitation, complete with a link to click on to sign up. You must be preregistered to participate.
Come help us celebrate the sport that we all love so much.

I won’t ask what could have been better than that.
We will most likely be doing the same thing next year.
The report I got was that we actually put 175 cars on the Old Course at the same time. I even got to participate with my Miata ice racer while keeping track my radio. And I had fun too.
