Authored by Jen Allan, Elena Kosolapova, Jessica Templeton, and myself, The State of Global Environmental Governance 2024 explores the major challenges international environmental negotiations faced last year against a backdrop of accelerating climate-fueled impacts, expanding conflicts, and political turnover across many democracies. The report considers where progress was made and lost, what lessons should be applied across the multilateral ecosystem, and what to expect in 2025.
