Dear friends,

I am putting together a one-day workshop on environmental politics datasets, scheduled for March 1 in Chicago, just before the ISA conference.

This workshop will bring together creators, curators, and users of datasets in international/comparative environmental politics.

The objectives are to 1) identify best practices; 2) increase interoperability; 3) discuss shared challenges, and 4) explore synergies and potential projects exploiting two or more datasets.

We will not have formal presentations, just informal group discussions. Dataset curators will be invited to circulate in advance a one-page description of their dataset, and all participants will be encouraged to share a one-page memo highlighting untapped synergies between datasets.

I will cover the costs of the meeting room and lunch. Participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.

We have limited space. Several dataset creators/curators have already confirmed their participation. Email me at Jean-Fred...@pol.ulaval.ca if you are interested in joining us.

Best,

Jean-Frédéric
