Hi friends. Thank you for your support of the #flyingless initiative (flyingless.org). In this month's update:

1. Blog Updates with News and Links. Joe Nevins has posted inspiring updates featuring (part 1) COP-26 and Fighting Airport Expansion, and (part 2) a lovely long collection of recent academic publications. 
2. Journal Article in Lancet Planetary Health. I am a co-author this month of a publication in Lancet Planetary Health: Can virtual events achieve co-benefits for climate, participation, and satisfaction? Comparative evidence from five international Agriculture, Nutrition and Health Academy Week conferences. Joe Yates, MSc, Prof Suneetha Kadiyala, PhD, Yuemeng Li, IBDP, Sylvia Levy, BSc, Abel Endashaw, MSc,
   Hallie Perlick, MPH, Prof Parke Wilde, PhD. When a major international annual conference series on agriculture, nutrition, and health had to move online in 2020 due to the pandemic, there was partial loss of interpersonal connections at social events, but aviation emissions plummeted and participation increased.
3. Other New Resources. In addition, as people send us news of their publications, I continue to add them to the collaborative Katz-Rosene online resource guide on Flying Less in Academia. The number and quality of new publications is accelerating.
4. Tyndall Centre Workshop March 2022. The Tyndall Centre for climate research has an upcoming online workshop on Academic Aero Mobility in a Post-Pandemic Future. As one agenda item, I have prepared an asynchronous video update on our academic flyingless initiative.
5. Petition growth. The #flyingless petition had its best quarter year ever since we began in 2015 and now has 1974 supporters. Please continue to share the link widely.
   
6. Let us promote your work. If you have work or publications related to academic #flyingless, let us know about it at email academicfly...@gmail.com or parke...@gmail.com or on Twitter @flyingless. We can promote it on social media, in future blog posts, and through the Katz-Rosene resource list.
