American University--administrative academic post

Colleagues: My school (American University’s School of International Service) is looking for someone to fill an administrative academic post, overseeing a cluster of three of our MA programs (global environmental policy, international development, and international economics). This is a contract position, not a tenure line. The work is mainly admin (recruitment, admissions, curriculum development, scheduling, etc.) with a 1-1 teaching load (most likely at the grad level, and in one or more of the relevant MA programs). This is part of an admin reorganization so it is a new position. Lots of opportunities to build bridges across these three programs, which were previously administered separately. Because it is new, questions about the specifics are best directed to Assistant Dean Mike Schroeder, listed in the ad, but I am more than happy to answer questions about the school, the work, the campus, our students and faculty, etc....Ken Conca
