Dear Gep-ed colleagues,

We are counting down the days until the start of the 2021 Bratislava Conference on Earth System Governance, running between 7^th – 9^th September, with the added Taskforce & Meeting Day on 10^th September.

The Conference is organized around the five analytical lenses structuring the Earth System Governance Science and Implementation Plan; and a sixth stream focusing on specific issues and challenges concerning the current moment of crisis, contestation, and calls for action across the globe. The theme is ‘Earth System Governance in Turbulent Times: prospects for political and behavioral responses’ and across the three days, we will delve into this theme through a wide array of topics, questions and discussions from varying perspectives and regions – from global to local levels.

The Bratislava Organizing Team are thus excited to present a thrilling Programme that encompasses 2 plenary sessions – including a Keynote Address by Prof. Karen O’Brien, 6 Semi-Plenary sessions, a Science-Policy Forum, 10 Innovative sessions, 86 Parallel Panels with over 350 different papers, as well as 10 meetings at the additional Taskforce & Meeting Day on 10^th September.

We hope and warmly invite you to attend the 2021 Bratislava Conference, please read more here on how to register for fully virtual access. A limited number of participants will travel for onsite participation and networking in Bratislava, the Slovak Republic, for which registration remain available for those interested.
