Dear all,

I am recruiting a PhD student to work on a project co-funded by the Irish Environmental Protection Agency and Dublin City University entitled Identifying barriers and opportunities to local government climate action in Ireland.

The PhD student will be funded for four years (stipend of €16,000 and EU fees, along with some conference and fieldwork funding). They will be enrolled on DCU's structured political science PhD programme within the School of Law and Government, supervised by me.

DCU’s School of Law and Government is a research active school with world-class faculty. It ranks in the top 200 departments in the world for Political Science. The School has a rigorous structured PhD programme and a vibrant, international cohort of almost 50 PhD students.

The PhD scholarship advert is attached and is also available here.

The deadline for applications is Friday 2 August. Interviews will be held the week commencing 12 August. The successful candidate will be expected to commence study on 23 September 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Please circulate within relevant networks. I will answer any queries from prospective applicants by email the week commencing Monday 22 July.

Best wishes,

Diarmuid
