Dear all,
Axel Nordenstam and I are planning to submit a panel for ISA 2024 on the intersection of climate change (if there is interest also including a broader "environmental" framing) and Asian (great) power politics. The panel could include work on status seeking and status anxiety, ontological security, for example, and other aspects in which the simultaneity of "geopolitics" at large intersects with the more specific politics of climate change. Questions about the need and desirability of transnational and intergovernmental cooperation on regional and global climate disasters but also in the realm of just energy transitions, emerging alongside growing regional and global tensions in other fields, including border disputes, could be of interest here as well.

We are looking for one or two additional papers, as well as a discussant; so please let us know if you are interested:

Best wishes,
Miriam
