Survey of UNFCCC COP Parties & Participants
Dear UNFCCC Party or Participant,
We’re reaching out with an exciting opportunity to share your insights in a public opinion survey focused on the Conference of Parties (COP) meetings. This survey is a collaborative project between researchers from the University of Oxford, the University of Potsdam, and Northwestern University, aimed at deepening our understanding of the UNFCCC's role in the climate crisis.
We invite a representative from your party/organization to participate by sharing perspectives on COP meetings and the UNFCCC’s climate action efforts. It will only take 5 minutes of your time. Whether you’re joining the upcoming 29th COP in Baku, Azerbaijan (November 11-22) in person, online, or not participating this year, your input is invaluable! Your participation is entirely voluntary. As independent researchers unaffiliated with the UNFCCC, no information will be shared with the UNFCCC, governments, or third-party organizations. This survey is entirely anonymous and has received ethics approval, ensuring that no sensitive or personally identifiable information is collected.
Your participation will contribute to research articles aimed at advancing international climate negotiations and understanding the impact of COP meetings. Your voice can help shape the future of climate action.
We greatly appreciate your time and insights. For further details and consent information, please visit the information page for the survey, where you’ll find contact information for any questions.
Best regards,
The Joint Research Team for COP29 Survey
