Dear Colleagues,

The Environmental Politics and Governance Network is partnering with the DC Bar's Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Community on a policy-focused series of roundtable events.

Please join us for the first Climate Policy Roundtable on Monday, January 27 at 12pm EST.

The topic is: Trump 2.0 and U.S. Climate Policy

To receive the Zoom link, you will need to register in advance here (https://brown.zoom.us/meeting/register/pevc2uXvT9ONa3G-U5r-wA ).

We will focus on four questions:
  1. To what extent are new federal climate initiatives (such as the IRA)  vulnerable to Trump 2.0? Could the US Congress protect these initiatives?
  2. How will Trump's focus on tariffs impact his energy and environmental agendas?
  3. How might DOGE impact climate policy-making and enforcement?
  4. Historically, environmental groups have employed legal strategies to protect the federal environmental agenda. Did this work during Trump 1.0? Might it work during Trump 2.0?

We hope that you will be able to attend.
