31 years bringing transparency to environmental talks It’s a big week for Earth Negotiations Bulletin. We’re turning 31. For decades, our team has reported on multilateral environmental negotiations addressing climate change, biodiversity restoration, and chemicals governance, to name a few. And the need for that transparency isn’t shrinking. Many upcoming global meetings require the close attention of policymakers, thought leaders, civil society advocates, and the wider public. In 2023 alone, delegates will try to finalize a new high-seas treaty, catalyze action to achieve international water goals, discuss a possible post-2020 platform for chemicals and waste management, work to “accelerate action at the mid-way point of the SDGs,” build the foundations of a possible plastics treaty, and much more. For the past three decades, our greatest ally in raising awareness of these negotiations has always been our readers. Your recommendations to colleagues and social media shares have helped grow the audience for our reliable, neutral reporting. So today—on our birthday—we ask you to recommend our ENB Update newsletter to three colleagues.   Don’t take our word for it.
