Recommendations for Carbon-Offsetting Companies?

Dear colleagues, 

I hope you are all doing well. 

As much as we know that paying for a third party to offset our carbon emissions does not solve the bigger problem, sometimes it can be the least bad option. I am looking for companies that offer the service of carbon offsetting/neutralizing for a mid-size conference. Would any of you have suggestions of reliable, transparent, trustworthy companies, please? 

As per the group's norms, I would appreciate recommendations be sent to me directly. I will compile all responses and share the list with the group later.

Might you consider going virtual? If not, why not? I believe we have reached a point where the “luxury” of having folks travel thousands of miles to speak for 15 minutes is self-indulgent from an environmental perspective for those of us who work in the environmental field.

The conference was last month, and was a short drive away. I'm now helping the organizers carbon offset the whole event.
