Just in time for International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer (September 16th), which commemorates the date, in 1987, on which nations signed the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer, here is our latest "Still Only One Earth" policy brief. Healing the Ozone Layer Through Diplomacy

When the people became aware of a hole in the ozone layer over Antarctica—and damage to the protective layer of atmosphere around the world—leaders around the world coordinated action on ozone depleting substances.

The Montreal Protocol shows what is possible when science, diplomacy, and business cooperate to implement international environmental agreements. As World Ozone Day approaches this Thursday, we explore how this work to repair our atmosphere took flight.
