Call for Thematic Streams for the new Society for Social-Ecological Systems (SocSES)

I've been working with a handful of others to help launch a new academic society that may be of interest to you.  Below you will see information on a call for proposals of thematic streams (read working groups). The Society for Social-Ecological Systems (SocSES) will launch in March 2025! SocSES invites proposals for Thematic Streams (2025–2027). Thematic Streams will be at the heart of SocSES, bringing together researchers and/or practitioners to drive cutting-edge social-ecological research, foster collaboration, and create meaningful scientific and policy contributions.

 

Each stream will be led by a working group (5–10 members, co-led by two leads), who will work on papers or processes together, host activities for stream members, and guide the stream’s direction. This is a unique opportunity to shape the society’s agenda and build vibrant communities of practice.
