Dear all,

I have been asked on short notice to provide inputs to the China Council on International Environment and Development regarding how China is perceived in terms of its international environmental role, how China’s role has developed, but particularly importantly, where there is room for China to improve or strengthen its role in relation to global environmental challenges (with case studies on CITES, ozone depletion, climate change, biodiversity, and plastics).

THe ideas we share have the potential to be taken up by policymakers there. I would be very grateful for any inputs you can provide — which I will then be happy to share or keep anonymous as you prefer.

No long texts are needed but rather bullet point statements. References to relevant scientific literature —especially of you own are also welcome!

Best, Miranda
