Dear colleagues,

I’m writing in my capacity as chair of the Environmental Studies Section of ISA to let you all know that the deadline for submitting paper, roundtable and panel proposals for next year’s conference - June 1 - is fast approaching. See here for all the details.

The Association is planning for many possible scenarios and understanding that many cannot travel for different reasons, I am pretty sure hybrid options will be available. Whether in person or virtually, this is an important gathering time for our community and I (at least) sorely missed it earlier this year. So please consider submitting something, be it a panel, paper or roundtable proposal! [you may resubmit the same proposals from last year, which will be given equal consideration with this year’s. They are also preserving some panels that directly addressed last year’s theme but I believe that’s already been arranged]

A couple of other things:
1. As you renew your membership or join ISA, please don’t forget to join the Environmental Studies Section - a mere $5 per year.
2. If you or someone you know has written an awesome book in the global environmental politics field, please nominate it for the Harold and Margaret E. Sprout Prize by August 1. Full details here!

Sending good thoughts to you all,

Kate
