***APOLOGIES FOR CROSS-POSTING***

Hi all,

The Ghent Institute for International and European Studies (GIES) is recruiting a PhD student to conduct research on “The energy security implications of large-scale imports of sustainable fuels such as hydrogen and derivatives in Belgium.”

This Ph.D. position is part of the Energy Transition Fund project BE-HyFE which aims to establish a core group of 16 broadly trained and highly networked early-stage researchers who can support the Belgian industry in finding both technological and societal solutions to essential hydrogen challenges.

The research will be hosted at the Department of Political Sciences, Ghent University. The PhD student will work under the supervision of Prof. Thijs Van de Graaf (Ghent University) and co-supervision of Prof. Ronnie Belmans (KU Leuven).

Best wishes,

Thijs
