Dear colleagues,

I am thrilled to announce the Open Access publication, Russia in a Changing Climate, WIREs Climate Change. This is the product of a collaboration of 17 Russia specialists who are part of the PONARS Task Force on Russia in a Changing Climate.

We intend this piece as “one stop shopping” for up-to-date research on how climate change is affecting Russia, and how Russia is affecting climate change, including via its war against Ukraine. For research purposes, the article ends by identifying gaps in knowledge, many of which the task force hopes to fill in coming years. For teaching purposes, we hope the article might prove useful to those of you seeking a single summary article on Russia for your syllabi.

All the best,
