Summary
Postdoctoral (36 months) for young researcher(s) interested in coastal management and ocean governance, from a decolonial perspective, based on the discussion of how the co-production of knowledge with local actors and the transdisciplinarity can support the visibility and treatment of socio-environmental conflicts.
The researcher will be based in Santos and must be available to travel in Brazil and abroad. The work will include a systematic literature review, document analysis and interviews. The candidate's plan of activities is part of the project “Amazonian Maretórios”, with field work in the coastal zone of Pará. In addition to the requirements demanded by FAPESP, the following are desirable:
- skills to work in transdisciplinary groups;
- experience with participatory research methodologies;
- leadership in the production of knowledge;
- interest in theoretical approaches on gender and intersectionality;
- prior knowledge of the coastal zone of Pará and of traditional Amazonian fishing communities;
- fluency in English and Spanish
- Desirable knowledge of the Portuguese language (foreign candidates).

The vacancy is open to Brazilians and international candidates. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Postdoctoral Scholarship in the amount of BRL 8,479.20 per month and a Technical Reserve equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the scholarship to meet unforeseen expenses directly related to the research activity.
