Dear all,
I am trying to use the function define.links()
It worked some time ago, since then I only updated R and R studio.

this is the script and the error message I receive:

land_rec<- read.amira.dir("Lan Rec/",nland = "auto") ##
link<- define.links(land_rec[,,3],ptsize = 1)
# Then the rgl screen opens and appears the correct message in the console
Select landmarks to link
# once I click a landmark I get this error:
Error in (0 <= wz) && (wz <= 1) : 'length = 20' in coercion to 'logical(1)'

I tried also to perform a GPA of the original landmarks and calculate the mean configuration using the mshape() function and put the calculated mshape as argument in the define.links() function but the problem persists.

It is not a big deal since I can also create the link matrix by myself but I am struggling in understanding what is wrong here.

Thank you for your help.
kind regards,
Tommaso

Tommaso,

This is actually an issue in the RGL library, which ‘define.links’ calls. As such I cannot fix it; the RGL folks have to do so in their package.

As some of those folks are part of the CRAN team, I assume they are aware of the issue, but you may wish to notify them also.

Thanks for pointing it out!

Dean

Dear Dean,
thank you for your prompt reply.
I also had the feeling the problem relied in rgl library, probably rgl was updated and the new version gives this error.
thanks again and best regards,
Tommaso
