The University of Manchester seeks to appoint an outstanding Research Associate to join Dr Rob Bellamy to undertake research on responsible innovation and societal engagement as it relates to greenhouse gas removal as part of the national Greenhouse Gas Removal (GGR) research hub, CO2RE.
The post holder will undertake a diverse set of research tasks including a comprehensive and systematic review of public engagement with GGR; deliberative workshops across the UK and a nationally representative survey; shaping a common approach to public engagement across the GGR programme; developing a ‘soft’ stage-gate process to ensure that responsible innovation is addressed; building responsible innovation capacity across the GGR programme; gathering public engagement data from across the GGR programme and provide an overall assessment of ‘social readiness’; and working with other work packages within the GGR hub to coordinate and oversee public engagement elsewhere in the hub.
The University invites applications for the above post which is tenable from 1 October 2021.
