The quality and relevance of successful and attempted posts has declined precipitously in recent days. We are all currently distracted by world events, but this is not the place to discuss important yet unrelated issues. Nor is it a place for trivial interjections that reach around 1000 inboxes.

Please can all members therefore be mindful of the basic rules:

1) posts should be about solar radiation modification geoengineering

2) discussion quality should be at or above that of reader's letters published in popular science magazines 

Caveats exist, regarding scope:

A) Posts may be concerned with similar high-leverage, broad scale intentional earth system interventions - especially where these have direct links or relevant parallels with SRM 

B) Occasional, high quality posts on closely related subjects may offer helpful framing.

No member - no matter how professionally senior or long-standing - has an exemption from these rules. Breaches may lead to suspension of posting rights, or removal from the group.

Thanks for your cooperation, which is essential for the usefulness of the group.
