Has anyone looked at the possible effect on radical chemistry from MCB? This paper suggests that it might boost .Cl and hence may act as a methane sink.

There is not much but Hannah Horowitz in Becky Alexander’s group has a publication on this. Cly and Bry increase by 20-40%, tropospheric ozone -3 to -6%, CH4 lifetime increases due to decreased OH by 3-6. Overall not a significant impact on radiative forcing, small impact on tropospheric ozone…

I don't understand. Cly is about 10pc of the methane sink, so how is it going to damage OH via ozone loss? Does that mean ALL attempts to raise Cly will lead to the increase not decrease of methane lifetime? If so it's actually a net negative sink.
