You still have time to join the Arctic Ice Project (formerly Ice911 Research) for a groundbreaking webinar. Tomorrow, April 20th at 12:00 p.m. (Pacific time), is a fantastic opportunity to learn from Arctic ice and climate experts Dr. Peter Wadhams and Dr. Leslie Field. Dr. Wadhams is the UK's most experienced sea ice scientist with more than 50 expeditions to both polar regions and Dr. Field is the Founder and CTO of the Arctic Ice Project. During this special webinar they will discuss the importance of the Arctic in combating climate change.

Peter Wadhams has said "The Arctic Ice Project is doing important work in exploring practical methods of preserving and extending the lifetime of first-year sea ice by adding a high-albedo material to the ice surface. Their research deserves strong support, as it is generally agreed that bringing back Arctic sea ice is an important requirement for global climate, yet no good method has yet been fully demonstrated."

With your support, the Arctic Ice Project will be able to start our collaboration with  Norway's SINTEF Oceans group of polar marine and biology experts to dive into important assessments of material fate and safety of AIP’s proposed ice restoration solution. SINTEF is one of Europe's largest independent research organizations. The collaboration between  SINTEF and the Arctic Ice Project will focus on the ground-breaking applied research to evaluate safety aspects and environmental soundness of AIP’s proposed technological solution for Arctic sea ice restoration.
