Hi everyone,
The Degrees Initiative supported 11 Degrees Modelling Fund (DMF) scientists from across Africa, Asia and South America to attend the 13th GeoMIP meeting in Exeter, UK. This was the largest number of developing country researchers ever to attend a GeoMIP meeting. Their presence was intended to better reflect Global South perspectives in the design of future solar radiation modification (SRM) climate models and to help build a global community of experts.
Varisha Khan, a young health specialist from Pakistan who attended GeoMIP as part of the Pakistan DMF team, wrote about her experience in a short blog post, which we encourage you to read on our website:

If you would like to find out more about Global South participation at GeoMIP, you can read more about it here.
Keep up to date with the latest at Degrees by following us on Twitter and signing up to our quarterly newsletter.
Best regards,
Nick Zúñiga
