Who is responsible for saving Domerama? I forget. It is a pretty valuable resource in the dome-builder's world and I'd like to acknowledge your contribution. Thanks.

Saving Domerama?  So was it threatened in some way?  Sold, folding, etc. somebody kept it going in the face of extinction?  They still have the Dick Fischbeck Randome pages.

Hi Dan,

The Canadian ownership reference you cited, including the phone number, is probably correct, with one exception: "STATE - SASKATCHEWAN"  should be "PROVINCE - QUÉBEC''. The stated owner, Edward (Ted) Lafetière, is the biological father of the late Laurent (Larry) Pilon who created Domerama. I worked/traveled with Larry on several dome projects -- fabrication of struts, foundation prep, and creation of portions of his website content including calculators, illustrations, and text on the Kruschke-type domes. Several years ago Ted, who inherited Domerama when Larry died, told me that he did not have the password to make content changes to Domerama. That's why it's now ghost ship sailing the Internet with no one at the helm, but still generating a bit of ad revenue to help Ted pay for the debts Larry left behind.

Thanks for the background Gerry.  It pays to get the actual history from someone on the inside who knows the facts.  I'm glad the site is being left up, even if it's in an archive state, as it still has a lot of useful info.

Hi Bryan,

Yes, the person Dick Fischbeck referred to (@ https://www.edgedomes.com) is Ralph Edge. At one point Ralph re-activated Domerama but I'm not sure what happened after that.

Any resurrection of Domerama with the help of the hosting company and the website owner should include correction of the technical errors and elimination of plagiarized material.
