Its a mandatory part of the Red List orientation workshops I hold. We have a practical session with demo and practice by participants with their own data. In all the global assessments I facilitate in India, I insist on preparing and reviewing the GeoCAT .csv file as the very first step, as it saves much time in mapping and calculations later. At the same time, we also explain how the tool is to be used in combination with other assessment criteria and guidelines for final Red List assessment.
