Greetings Indigo Pod,

Thank you everyone for your patience in receiving something more around the evolving Indigo processes.  There has been much activity and dialogue through workshops, convergences, and meetings in these past weeks and even more since the Emergence Convergence.  Lots of possibilities continuing to emerge and many more I'm surely not even aware of!  Happy to be here in this space with all of you and to see what more we might foster together through the generation of ideas and visions that further lead to greater spaces of transformation for all that Indigo, GENOA, and learning as a whole might learn from the insights that arise here.

As a way to recap some things around Indigo from a previous message that Trudy sent and information posted in the Harvesting section of Green, here is what we're already looking at.

Indigo
is an important pod for GENOA as it represents insight, perception, framework, worldview, consciousness and paradigm. The pod facilitates dialogues around education, curriculum, learning processes and more. Other functions of the pod include coordinating information flows about Ecovillage Design Education, support for trainings and workshops, organising mandala learning laboratories, think tank for alternative education systems, and networking and sharing between communities, organisations and projects in the region.

Education design strategy (includes Educology)

New curricula

Healthy living

Sexuality education

EcoBricks

Experiential learning program development

replicable ecovillage tourism program modules

Trainings & Exchanges

EcoBricks ToT

Resources library

With this in mind and your heart in resonance with whatever might feel meaningful for you at this time, I'd love to see how we can further open up this space to explore what it is we are currently working on and anything that we might be interested to begin exploring together.

Some things that have opened up in the Philippines through more focused Convergences and the spaces that Pi was asked to hold in Dumingag, Mindanao are Transformation Medicine and an alignment with mudhouses, ecobricks, health, education and healing. A convergence of teachers and educators diving deep into the ecology, sustainability, and emergence of new curriculums/training programs for education which has also opened the space to dialogue on and explore cognition and mind processes with greater applications in medicine and learning.

A creative space of transformation where the doctors become teachers and the teachers become healers.  Gatherings either in physical convergence or in this type of digital space that allows us to look at, analyze and more deeply understand how we can unravel the conditioning of Western-based systems and affectively impact the greater frameworks with emerging science-validated information through networking and integrative approaches.  Perhaps imagining how the Maia Emergence Convergence was a foundational "appetizer" for experiencing the Mandala and a taste of each color.  When we take this model and open it in one color or under one heading of focus, the Mandala again unravels like a fractal.  We see where mudhouses, ecobricks, health, nutrition, healing, dialogue, education, and learning how to unlearn are all connected and interconnected facets of the same face through any one portal (color) we might go into as a path of the greater whole.  We can then explore spaces where other transformative models, ideas, visions, and projects weave together the entire global stage.  But, more specifically how we continue to construct/deconstruct and transform the systematic spaces into a more Whole systems based design that allows the networking of cities, villages, governments, politicians, teachers, and educators who can all apply what is learned through inquiry and dialogue to their own communities, schools, processes, awareness and conscious growth.

So, perhaps as a way to open up the inquiry process, a few questions that might allow us to begin integrating our own learnings and knowings as we further connect and share who and what we are.

  • What does education mean to you?
  • What is your current focus within Indigo?  What would you like to discover or learn more about?
  • How are you engaging with your community?  What learning does this foster?
  • Where do you see openings for growth and transformation within your visions, culture, community, or school?
  • What would a focus of discussion within current curricular systems and/or learning approaches be for you that could also hold a key to growing insights around transformative education?  (Opening this topic to dialogue either on what is present and what can be integrated into the current system without needing to reconstruct the structures already in place or on what is present and what could be done differently if the conditions were open enough to explore an alternative approach)  This might also include very practical and experiential models/examples such as those we've been learning from through the recent convergences in the Philippines.
  • What have you already been doing that has impacted either you personally and/or you and your teachings, learnings, educational curriculum, school, community etc?
  • How would you envision Indigo as a space where learnings, dialogue, insights and wisdom are freely shared and information is networked openly for the greater unfolding to take place?

Hi Lhundup,

Thanks for checking in about this post.  This was written back in August 2016!  Although no one had sent in any replies or feedback at that time, there's still strong relevancy to any contributions that come through with regard to these questions.

We have a new pod facilitator for Indigo - her name is Kavitha.  I'm not sure if she was oriented around these google groups as we really haven't activated them these last two years because we noticed a need to stay focused on more of the essential nso transitions before spiralling further into the greater fields.  With Kavitha on board with the nso now, I think we'll continue to grow and see what comes of our inquiries and dialogues.

Please feel free to reply however you'd like.  Your feedback is important to us and the evolutions of education, learning and unlearning throughout the region.  We would be most interested to hear more about the transitions you've been making in Bhutan - it's been a long time since I've heard any updates!

Love and blessings,
Serena
