Add CITES in Section 8 "Other Species Information"?

Hi again,

Some of the species we are assessing are in CITES, this is relevant for Mexico but also for the CBD and as a source of information, since many listed species have some sort of national monitoring.

Currently we are answering this in the "Other species status assessment(s)" question, which overlap with the Mexican endangered list (=/= IUCN red list).

My question to the group is if we should we include CITES as a question in the kobo form?

Good question. I have recently been assessing more species with CITES status that might not actually have a national status. To avoid editing the form, I think we can instruct assessors in the manual that CITES classifications could also be listed in Other species assessments.

I think CITES could be indicated with the "other threat assessment".  I think the instructions allow multiple to be entered, separated by commas e.g. US Endangered Species Act; CITES
