Kobo error message when editing after submission

Hi everyone

I have a problem editing the Kobo forms after submission. When I log in to kobotoolbox and try to open a submitted form to edit it doesn't load properly. I have already tried using different web browsers. 

Does anybody else have the same issue?

Hello Viktoria, hi everyone,

Yes same here. From what I know the kobotoolbox have always been slow to load, and even more so since more kobo have been submitted. However I was able to open submitted Kobo after a few try. But now and since mid November I would say, I haven’t been able to open a kobo after submission, with this error message everytime.

I guess we are all having the same issue ?

Hi all,

Sorry for my late reply. I checked this with a colleague at it seems the problem is our form may be too large so that the connection breaks. Solution:

* Re-load and reload, it will eventually work :(

* we could edit the form to insted of 100 max populations have 25 or so? This would prevent the error from happening, I think.

Hi Alicia,

Yes, indeed, the form seems to keep by default the space for 100 populations even if much fewer are provided; we downloaded already submitted forms that had many empty pages. There may be a way to code this so that only the real number of populations are included; alternatively 25 pops seems OK to me.

The form has been changed to only allow for 25 populations. Please check if this improves loading times.
