AT GREEN-ROW,
YOUNG GENTLEMEN are boarded, and taught the ENGLISH, LATIN, GREEK and FRENCH Languages; WRITING, STENOGRAPHY, DRAWING, ARITHMETIC, BOOK-KEEPING, the MATHEMATICS, and NATURAL PHILOSOPHY.—In NAVIGATION, GEOMETRY, and ASTRONOMY, the Students are accommodated with Maps, Globes, Sextants, Telescopes, &c.; and in the several branches of NATURAL PHILOSOPHY, they have the Use of Appropriate Apparatus.—The French Language is taught by a Native of FRANCE, and Drawing by a Student of the Royal Academy.
Among the Alterations and Additions recently made at GREEN-ROW, for the purpose of arranging a comprehensive System of literary and scientific Instruction, may be mentioned a Library, consisting of several hundred Volumes; a Cabinet, containing a great variety of Mathematical and Philosophical Instruments; and a School-room, which, for Plan and Extent, is probably not exceeded by many in the Kingdom.

About 20 years later John Crozier – 64 years Master of the Blencathra Foxhounds – went to Greenrow Academy.
