Nov. 2, at Gretna Hall, Mr. John BARNES, to Miss Jane INMAN, of Forest Hall, near Kendal.
At Dublin Castle, on Saturday evening last, first by the Primate of Ireland, and afterwards by the Catholic Archbishop of Dublin, his Excellency the Marquis WELLESLEY, Lord Lieutenant of the Sister Kingdom, to Mrs. PATTERSON, daughter of Richard CATON, Esq. late of Liverpool, but now of Baltimore, a lady of great wealth. The bride was given away by the Bishop of Raphoe. She is a Catholic, and the widow of a brother of the Miss PATTERSON who was married to Jerome BONAPARTE.

At Cockermouth, Mr. John SANCTON, woollen manufacturer, to Miss Mary RICHARDSON. At Brigham, Mr. Jonathan ROBINSON, woollen manufacturer, to Miss Mary PEARSON, of Great Broughton.
At Over Kellet, by the Rev. W. BRADSHAW, the Rev. Sir Richard LE FLEMING, Bart. M. A., Rector of Grasmere and Bowness, Westmorland, to Sarah, third daughter of the late W. B. BRADSHAW, Esq. of Hutton Hall, Lancashire.
On the 24th ult. at St. Martin's Church, Birmingham, Mr. John HARRISON, of Kendal, to Susanna, daughter of Mr. Thomas POWELL, of the former place.

On the 25th ultimo, at Jackson's Cottage, near Dumfries, William BRUCE, Esq. younger of Synbister, Advocate, to Agnes, second daughter of Wm. Gordon M'CRAE, Esq. formerly of the island of Jamaica. At Haugh of Urr, on the 28th Oct. Mr. Robert HESLOP, Whitenuke to Miss Williamson HUME, fourth daughter of Mr. Ebenezer HUME, of Haugh.
DEATHS.
On Sunday morning last, at Great Orton, in the 78th year of his age, sincerely respected for his unaffected piety and exemplary conduct, the Rev. James BRISCO, Rector of that parish, brother to the late Sir John BRISCO, Bart., and uncle to the present Sir Wastel BRISCO, Bart., of Crofton-hall.
In Williamson lane, Whitehaven, in the 86th year of his age, Mr. John SHEPHERD, late and for many years of the Customs, at that port. On Friday morning, in Brackenthwaite, Mrs. Jane POTTS, advanced in years, mother of Capt. POTTS, of the William, of Whitehaven, and of Capt. POTTS, of the Planter, of Harrington. On Sunday week, at York, Mr. Robert STRONG, aged 41, late of Whitehaven. On Sunday, at the house of Capt. PETTIGREW, in Duke-street, Whitehaven, Mrs. Bridget WHITE, late of St. Bees, advanced in yeas.—At Harrington, Mr. Robert GRAHAM, aged 74 years.—On the 22d ult. at Clifton, Mrs. Ann THOMPSON, aged 84.—The 23d, at Workington, Joseph, son of Mr. LITT, surgeon, aged 10 years. Mrs. ATKINSON, aged 62. Sunday sennight, at Workington, Mr. Robert DICKINSON, late of Seaton Iron Works, aged 52 years. His amiable disposition, and meek and unaffected piety have endeared his memory to all around him. Mr. D. had been an active Member of the Wesleyan Methodist Society for nearly thirty-six years; was one of the founders of the Workington Auxiliary Bible Society; was Secretary to it and several other religious institutions, and unwearied in his endeavours to promote Christian benevolence among every denomination. He recently gave proof of considerable literary powers, as well as much piety, by his life of the late Rev. Mr. BRAITHWAITE.
On Monday, at Maryport, Mr. Richard WALLACE, mariner, aged 44.
Saturday week, at her house, Park-lane, Liverpool, where she had resided for sixty years, Mrs. BORROWDALE, relict of Capt. J. BORROWDALE of Liverpool, daughter of the late Rev. Robert WALKER, of Seathwaite, near Broughton-in-Furness, and mother of Mrs. DIXON, of Newtown, near Ravenglass, in her 86th year.
Lately, at the Bay of Honduras, William, youngest son of Mr. A. GRAYSON, of Orgill, first mate of the Ann, HARRISON, of Workington, and late second mate of the Cumberland, PEW, of Whitehaven.
On Sunday week, at Great Braithwaite, near Keswick, Mr. George SUART, aged 68.
Lately, at Greysouthen, Mr. John DOUGLAS, aged 80.
At Liverpool, on Monday week, Nancy, second daughter of Captain Thomas GREENWOOD, of Lancaster.
At Millthorp, Mr. William INMAN, saddler.
Miss E. TOWERS, Market-street, Ulverston, aged 52.
On Sunday last, Mrs. GLENTON, in the 90th year of her age, widow of the late Matthew GLENTON, Esq. of Boroughbridge.
At Cumnock, N. B. in his 76th year, James TAYLOR, Esq. who first applied steam to the propelling of vessels.
James, youngest son of Mr. George SMITH, surgeon, R. N. Moffat.
At Moffat, on the 22d ult. in the 71st year of his age, James RAE, Esq.
At Lima, on the 16th March last, in the 32d year of his age, Mr. Robert MATHIESON, formerly of Closeburn, Dumfries-shire.
In upper Harley-street, London, Walter FAWKES, Esq. of Farnley Hall, Yorkshire.
At the Cavalry Barracks, aged 59, Lieut.-Col. Sir Thomas Pate HANKIN, commanding the 2d regiment of Dragoons stationed at Norwich.
On the 18th ult., at the advanced age of 103 years, John FOX, of Castleton, Derbyshire. He was born May 7th, O. S. 1722.
After all these years, the Gt. Gt. Grandparents of my late wife. Both families were mariners at Workington.
