Hello Everyone!

My name is Grace Harms and I am a sophomore elementary education with a minor in literacy student from the University of Northern Iowa. I currently reside in eastern Iowa however, I will be graduating in a year or so and am wanting to move somewhere south in the US. Apart from wanting to move south after graduation, I had to take a Educational Technology and Design course that encouraged us to expand our PLN (personal learning network). I am excited to have this group become apart of my expanding and ever growing PLN. Through my educational technology and design course I got my Google Certified Educator level 1 certificate! I am looking forward to learning about the education systems in Georgia through this group and potentially learning about a place I may reside in, in the near future!

Great morning! (and Happy Holidays to you and your families),

I am very happy to hear from each of you.

My name is Seretha George and this is my second year teaching.  This school year, I looped up with my Kindergarten class to 1st grade.

I currently incorporate technology into my lesson plans through Google Classroom, iPads, and online streaming such as our class being a member of the National Geographic Explorer Classroom and participating once a month in the STEM program around the world.

Additionally, I am currently researching for an educational program that we can participate in learning a second language.

Ultimately, I joined the GEG Georgia USA group to gain a broader spectrum on how to incorporate various technologies into the classroom to transition from a classroom to a learning exploration journey.

I look forward to connecting with each of you.

Thank you.

My name is Henry "Trey" Tippie, and I am a High School Educational Technology Coach (and yearbook coordinator) in Taichung Taiwan. I am a Level 2 Google Certified educator.
Many international schools require you sign a two year contract in the fall so they can get to hiring and filing all the needed visas/paperwork for new hire. Though we've had a great experience, we decided not to sign for another two years. My in-laws moved to Blairsville, GA this past summer, and my family plans to move to N. Georgia this coming summer to be closer to grandparents.

I am in my 9th year of teaching I am originally from Colorado teaching at a 1-to-1 iPad school. with 3 Years - Middle School Science, 4 years - Middle School Technology, AV Production & Yearbook, 2 Summers - High School Summer School, And the past 2 Years in Taiwan I have taught High School Biology, Math, AV Production, Yearbook, and am currently the Educational Technology Coach.

From this group I hope we can share sites/apps/extensions/features that are working well for you in your classroom.
I also hope to make connections as we transition to GA! We've been in the state for the past two weeks (a family emergency pulled us back over Christmas break) and I can't wait to set down roots here.

Good Morning!

My name is Sandy Briscoe and I teach 6th grade math at Social Circle Middle School in Social Circle, GA (Walton County). I have been teaching for 20 years. I have finished the Google Certification Level 1 course and I need to take the exam. I am currently enrolled in the Online Teaching Endorsement program with NWGA Resa. I believe I have some expertise with Google Classroom and would like to be able to contribute anything I can from my endorsement program. I'm super excited about being a member of this group. It will be nice to seek and share ideas.

Thanks!

Hello All,

I'm Mike Britt and I will be an 8th Grade IRR (SpEd) Math & Social Studies teacher at Little Mill Middle School in Cumming, GA.

I've served the past 2 years in the School Safety Dept. of Forsyth County Schools. I'm excited to get back into the classroom - and I will be back on the sidelines as I will also be an Assistant Football Coach.

I look forward to incorporating more interactive G Suite resources into my classroom instruction.
