Hi,

My Leapmotion is working well on Windows 10 with 3.2.1 SDK and GECO 1.3.
However, even if the gesture is perfectly captured, there is no MIDI sent by GECO. I've tried every single MIDI port, even created one especially for it. Nothing is coming out of GECO.

How can I resolve this issue? Any idea?

Thanks

Hi,

Please provide more information about your MIDI setup. Did you read the GECO documentation and watch the video specifically about how to use MIDI on windows?

Best regards,

Geert

Hi,

I've read the documentation and the setup was very easy to complete.
Here is my MIDI setup:

I'm running rtpMIDI with 5 custom MIDI port (very specific MIDI port to control orchestral template) Open Stage Control / CUBASE (touch screen OSC/MIDI setup).
I have 3 hardware M IDI controllers (Komplete Kontrol, SFC-1, Nanokontrol) and 9 MIDI port Euphonix (default created by my AVID S3 - EUCON protocol).

I've monitored the potential MIDI messages from GECO using a bunch of MIDI port with BOME Midi Translator. Nothing came through.

Which MIDI port did you select for GECO to use? When you say you monitored potential MIDI messages, which ports are you selecting. Can you post screenshots of how you set GECO up in its settings and the actual gesture MIDI assignment?
Have you tried simplifying your setup first, without anything else connected?

Sure thing.

I've tried almost all the MIDI port available.

GECO

BOME with all the port I've tried selected.

Incoming: Capture MIDI enabled

I've tried also with the Leapmotion only, it's not sending anything.

Thanks for helping.

If GECO uses the Komplete Kontrol port it will output MIDI through that port, that doesn't mean that your computer sees it. It's like when you send MIDI from  a DAW to an output port. If you want to use GECO with a virtual MIDI port just on your computer you have to install the appropriate drivers, as the docs indicate.

OK I've just found the issue. I forgot to add a participant in rtpMIDI. It does work now on GECO midi port. My bad!
Thank you for your help.
