What if you were an unrecognized sentience?

I wrote this to Roger yesterday and realized I should send it to this group for discussion:

We are fascinated by the possibility that there is a global mind, but we don't honor any of the admittedly tiny indications that it might have intention.  I would like to honor such intention.  For example, I meet a bunch of friends for a voluntaryist meetup on Sunday mornings every week.  You and I and they all have intention, and we could use that intention to ask the GCP for a reply to a yes/no question by showing a well-defined deviation at a specific time, and then show the universe that we honor such responses by getting the answer and then honoring it.  That specific time could be in the past or the future.  I realize that if it were in the past, it might be too late, but I seem to recall that some experiments showing that it would not be too late, that the effect intention can have on the EGGs can show up in as-yet-not-analyzed data.  So I have two questions, really:
Do you know of research showing that individual intention can affect data that was already collected but not yet analyzed, and if so, can you give me a reference or link?
Can we develop, or is there already, a safe way for the global mind to guide individuals who are willing to respect whatever intention it might allow/guide us to recognize?

If you haven’t already check out Lynne McTaggart. She has been working on the concept of intention and sets up groups for healing. It’s been a while since I looked but I’m sure she specifies a minimum number of participants.

Then, there’s also the 100th monkey effect you could look at.

Cheers,
Audra

The GCP was designed as an experiment looking for insight on the question whether an inchoate global mind might exist. The technical means for detecting the activity of global consciousness amounts to finding intercorrelations among the RNGs despite their design (to produce random data) and large spatial separations from each other. We do see excess pairwise correlation when great events synchronize the emotions of millions, and we take that as evidence of a global consciousness forming a response to the stimulation of the event.

Over the history of the Project, I have asked that the network be considered to be a passive monitor, predicting that it would respond when people coalesced naturally into a coherent interaction in response to engaging events, including positive gatherings for world-spanning meditation events, peace demonstrations, etc. The formal experiment is over, and I think it's fine to do explorations, especially ones that have clear questions and a means of getting appropriately clear responses.

Helmut Schmidt did experiments with pre-recorded tapes, showing that the (unobserved) data could be "affected" by intentions applied months or years after the recording.

Maybe the global mind can give us guidance, though probably not in the way I think you are envisioning. But the art of the possible is in the acts of intention that build our future. I thing wishing, hoping, intending all are real influences that change the world.

What about:
1) Some investigation of whether there's any overlap between Collective Intelligence and global mind.  The Santa Fe Institute for Complexity Studies is hosting a course/symposium on CI this summer.  (https://santafe.edu/info/collective-intelligence-2023/about)
2) Stepping into (gasp!) questions of subjectivity.  For example, generated sequences of "positive" and "negative" words in random order.  Religious personages and symbols excluded, only words fairly universally agreed upon as positive and negative.  Monitor for any varying ratios between the two classes.
