Hello, in the latest Odoo 9 prebuilt GCE solution, I get the Internal Error 500 after I install the Website or E-Commerce module, I logout, and then when I try to log back in. Has anyone encountered this? does anyone know how to sort this out?

Many thanks.

Hello Joseph,

500 Internal Server Error is a generic server error message, given when an unexpected condition was encountered and no more specific message is suitable.

That being said, can you provide more detailed information about the error from the log files?

Sincerely,

Not really, since I deleted the Virtual Machine and I am not looking into installing manually Odoo 9 on my Virtual Machine. Or do you think you have a quick fix for this?

The problem is a generic one in Google Compute Engine. I have tried to install the Odoo 9 prebuilt solution in many different VM configurations, but always with the same problem after I install the Website Module.

I look forward to your feedback.

Many thanks.

I could reproduce the issue. It's a dependency related issue:

File "/opt/bitnami/apps/odoo/lib/odoo-9.0.post20151109-py2.7.egg/openerp/addons/website/models/ir_http.py", line 175, in _dispatch key = self.get_page_key() File "/opt/bitnami/apps/odoo/lib/odoo-9.0.post20151109-py2.7.egg/openerp/addons/website/models/ir_http.py", line 94, in get_page_key return (self._name, "cache", request.uid, request.lang, request.httprequest.full_path)AttributeError: 'Request' object has no attribute 'full_path'

A quick fix (workaround) is upgrading werkzeug package. Werkzeug is an HTTP and WSGI utility library for Python.

Connect to your Odoo instance via SSH and run the following command:

$ sudo pip install werkzeug==0.9.1

This will upgrade werkzeug from 0.8.3 to 0.9.1. After upgrade, restart the VM instance and it should be good.

I hope this works for you.

Sincerely,
