Hi, it was an old commit with translations that were more faithful to the original, but nothing particularly significant.
In the meantime, I’m still struggling — for years now, and now even with the help of AI agents — to get the development environment set up properly using Docker.
Sooner or later, I’ll get there.

I’ve managed to set up the dev environment, but had problems with sql timeouts so I gave up.

In the past, I managed to do it using a Linux virtual machine.
However, I refuse to virtualize an entire operating system solely to run Docker containers, precisely because Docker was designed to move beyond this kind of approach.

I confirm it is in the login phase. The two containers are generated: the front end (Web) and the database (DB). They appear in the browser, but the default accounts admin/admin, editor/editme… do nothing and fail to log in.

According to my hypothesis, which I cannot confirm, some attributes required for login are missing or corrupted during account creation.

The sql timeout at login was due to missing memcache, or not using a
different cache. It is mentioned, but not that obvious:
In the top level directory of your repository clone, open up
`settings.py` and
take a look at it. You should create a `settings_local.py` file in the same
directory, and override any values from `settings.py` that need
overriding in
that `settings_local.py`. Do not modify `settings.py` itself, unless
you need
to push a change out to all other development and production environments.
A good starting point for settings_local.py is the one from the docker
setup.

For me the container now builds again and I can login. Were a couple of
degrations in the last months.
Will look at publishing a container, but for the local dev it might be
better to build one. Not sure, don't use containers for developing /
editing code inside them.
