Dan Mullen Gator Gathering

Anybody else tuning in to the virtual Gator Gatherings? Dan Mullen is incredibly hyper--it made me exhausted just listening to him. Lots of enthusiasm about the new facilities for baseball and then football, although the latter won't be finished until 2022. Also he was enthusiastic about starting spring practice. Of course he was enthusiastic about almost everything except the disappointing  showing in the bowl game. He said players told him afterward that they didn't feel prepared--as though it were the players' fault for not taking their preparation seriously. I don't think Spurrier would ever have said that--always blamed the coaches for not getting them prepared.

Anybody else have any takeaways?

I'm sorry you missed it. They were the past three nights as a substitute for the traditional Gator Gatherings around the state. I think Mullen is obligated to do a certain number of those as part of his contract.. UF Alumni Association sent the invitation. Contact person was Shirley Lynn at sl...@ufalumni.ufl.edu. If you are a paying member of the UFAA and you didn't receive an invite, I would contact her and complain.

The first email they sent said they were charging $10 to attend, but then they said it would be free and we could either get a refund or donate the money.

No, I don't think I knew about it. I guess I'm back on the fence about Mullen again mainly because of how last season ended and the continued recruiting shortfalls. 

Charlie now in Oklahoma.
