Hey Galvanize Fam

Jeremy Goldstein is an artist and producer from the UK coming to America (virtually) via Montgomery College's Cultural Arts Center to produce a show/event called TRUTH TO POWER CAFE.  Read more about his work here.

He is looking for people from all walks of life (including artists like you!) to answer this prompt -- "Who has power over you and what do you want to say to them?"

He is collecting responses to incorporate into a showcase of stories centering confrontation with and/or liberation from our personal "occupiers."  It is a celebration of the individual and their struggle for expression, reclamation, and wholeness.

Interested?

Well, this is not a paid gig. If this is not for you at this time please forward to someone living in the DMV who may have a compelling story to tell (they don't have to be a performing artist).

Due date of the 100 word response is this Wednesday Sept 9.  Submit your story to this site. If chosen for a "callback" you will be interviewed by Jerermy (performer/producer) and the director of the piece and those chosen for the show will be encouraged to expand that response to 300-400 words. If not chosen for the show, many will be encouraged to record their responses for a website platform for visitors to peruse.

The actual show will be constructed over a 2-3 week period and the show will air Oct 10.

Hope to see your face in the place.
