Hi James,

Psalm's Salons at Studio—our series of virtual hangouts with live music and conversation—returns July 25 at 5 p.m. Local theatre-maker, Studio Artist in Residence, and emcee Psalmayene 24 will be joined by a fresh panel of guests and beats provided by DJ Nick tha 1da, using the Library of Congress's Citizen DJ tool.

Guests for the next digital salon are audience favorite DC actor Justin Weaks (Pass Over, Curve of Departure) and artist-activists J.J. Johnson and Jefferson A. Russell, founders of Galvanize DC, as well as ally Jjana Valentiner.

They'll discuss being artists of color working in DC, theatre's response to a global push toward greater equity, creating support networks for Black artists, and elevating Black voices through allyship.

Join the livestream on our Facebook and YouTube
pages for good music, local food, camaraderie, and, of course, a little dancing.
Psalm's Salons are supported by a capacity building grant from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation's Building Demand for the Arts program.
