I just uploaded a few hundred images taken with my S25 to my gallery. The images taken with the ultra wide setting on
the camera are now shown in a distorted state in the gallery after upload and resizing. They are all stretched sideways.

When opening the bare image it isn't stretched. But when viewed within the gallery it's stretched sideways.

Is this some gimmick Samsung is using for the ultra wide "lens"? Can they be fixed somehow to show up properly?

Attached a screenshot where the left part is how the image shows up in Gallery, the right how the raw image looks when
viewed directly.

Harald,

That's the weirdest thing I've seen in a long time. No, I do not believe there is anything within the Gallery program's code or settings to make a perfectly good image look so radically stretched and distorted. I think you've nailed it by suggesting that Samsung is the culprit... somehow stretching the image in a way that looks right on the camera's display but which "does not compute" accurately when a straight forward just "display-the-image" program like Gallery runs across it.
