Due to a problem with my ISP, the galeaudio site is down, and likely permanently.  Attempts to reconstruct is have not been successful, and frankly I don’t have the inclination or time to recreate it.

My apologies, and my thanks for the many years of support.

John

John, your tireless and sustained effort has been appreciated and admired by a great many people, and I'm just one of them.

John! That’s adverse news! Sounds like you’re fed up...

My question is: would you like someone to take over / reconstruct? If you have most of the files on your computer it could be done fairly easily (it might turn out a little different!) and it would be hugely sad to lose that resource... most of the text is gettable on the way back engine I think??

I’d be happy to get something bare bones together? And if anyone else wanted to help that would be great... (I mean I’d rather you did it because it was so good, but if no one else volunteers...!)

Hope you’re still thinking of turntable reconstructions??

I have all the files and could reconstruct it.   The question is, “Do you want it done?”

I thought it was of little interest.

The lecsonaudio.com and hillplasmatronics.com site are still operating.

I too have appreciated your work and generosity and made use of the wealth of info provided;  but quite understand that one man supporting such a niche-market site can be onerous.  We all need to off-load extraneous overheads at some point.
Unfortunately, I have lost interest in hifi generally – almost never listen these days - and have no tech smarts anyway.
If a way could be found to monetise it, you could probably run an IPO!
Quite understand and all the best.

I think it’s of great interest but of little activity.
I have found that supporting little-used/unused websites isn’t too onerous in time or money

I use A2 hosting for my websites. They’ll host as many domains as you like for no extra money; the cost (after setting up an account and hosting one domain) is the fee for owning the extra domains. They’ll transfer of anything and everything and seem to be effective in support.
