Hi there!

I discovered this option on the Gaffer task nodes and wondered how exactly this works. When I get this correctly, when having this option ticket, only this node will get loaded when opening the Gaffer script which obviously results in much faster scene loading times.

However, I'm wondering how this works if this task nodes depend on other nodes, e.g. expressions or connections in general. Is this option only usefull if there's no other dependency than to pre- and post-tasks?

Thanks for any hint,
Carlo

This works by saving out a temporary Gaffer script containing only that node. But we do also bake the values from input connections, so inputs from expressions etc should still work. This obviously doesn't work for things like the ImageWriter or SceneWriter because baking the scene/image makes no sense, but should work fine for PythonCommand etc....
