Hello everyone,
We're in the early stages of pipeline setup for our upcoming TV show, and we're currently evaluating 3Delight as the primary renderer within Gaffer HQ. We've initiated in-house testing and are exploring how well it integrates with our existing workflow.

Before we proceed further, we wanted to reach out and ask:

  • Is 3Delight considered production-ready for use within Gaffer?

  • Are there any known limitations, best practices, or critical considerations we should be aware of?

  • Has anyone here used it in a production environment, and if so, could you share your experiences?

Any guidance, documentation links, or sample workflows would be greatly appreciated as we assess its suitability for our needs.

Thanks in advance for your help!!

Best Regards,
Ashutosh Suman

Hi Ashutosh

3Delight is a great choice !
There is a specific gaffer build from Goran Kocov that has working lightgroups and more. I've used that successfully in production but I'm hoping the Gaffer team will implement more 3delight features soon to have it more aligned with latest releases.
