Hi,

Is there a way to render an AOV/pass with shadows disabled—essentially the same as beauty but the shadow turned off for all lights, an unoccluded pass? I'd like to use this in comp to control shadows.

I know I can get this by doing a second render with "ignore shadows" enabled in the arnoldOptions node, but that doubles render time as i will be rendering the regular beauty and all and then another render with the shadow turned off.

Is there a way to achieve this in a single render using LPE or another method?

Thanks!

If you ignore shadows, the light bounces around differently, so it is a different render.

You could duplicate your lights, have one set with shadows off, and use light groups to get separate renders.

Bit of a hack and I'm a bit sceptical that it will give you the control you want in comp.
